Once more unto the breach my friends, once more!
We have a lower-front tooth poking through and so Alexander now starts
on the dental journey. Hopefully his will go much smoother than
Nicholas' has!
Another sign that the physical and occupational therapy is really doing
some good for Alexander can be seen in how well he sits up unaided. It
wasn't so long ago that you'd sit him up and have to catch him almost
immediately as he'd come right back down again.
He still has a definite weakness on the left side and hopefully the
therapy will help him use what he can on that side. But it's a long-term
project to be sure and we are seeing improvement...it's just hard to
accept that it's not as instantaneous as we would like.
It's official...the last of the seizure medications is gone! We had
been weaning him from this one for the last few weeks and he has been
much more alert and engaged in the last couple of weeks. Six months
ago, he was on a witch's brew of four medications for seizures and this
is a significant milestone for us.
Of course, he's followed in his big brother's path of reflux (though
he's not the spitter that Alexander was, thank goodness) and so he gets
prilosec as Nicholas did.
