I had forgotten how much fun it was to move tons and tons of household
goods...NOT! Fortunately, the movers were doing most of the heavy
lifting and our job was to keep them on target and get things in the
right places. To say it's a tiring job is an understatement...it's
utterly exhausting. Nicholas certainly thought so...at the end of the
day, he just laid down on the floor of the living room and went to sleep.
For us, it was nice being able to sleep in our own bed again...you never
know how much you miss the little things until they're gone! I never
thought that one thing, laying down on that familiar side of the bed would
be that relaxing but it was!
Nicholas got a nice treat from the driver of our moving crew...he kindly
took some pictures of us sitting in the cab of the big truck. And you
know how much our Nicholas likes trucks, right?!? Right?!? :)
After all of the months of patiently waiting and the couple of months
camping out at Grammy's house, the wait is finally over and Nicholas
now has a beautiful new home. We're going to start moving and painting
tomorrow morning with the bulk of the household goods arriving on Tuesday
from storage.
Thanks to everyone for their understanding and patience during this time
(I haven't been able to BLOG as much as I usually wish to!) and thanks
most of all to Grammy for taking us in when our house in Clayton sold
before the new house was ready.
It feels good to have a home again!
