I just saw the unfortunate newsflash that Bill Withers just passed away in LA today.

Most people will immediately think of “Lean on Me” which certainly was a signature tune that alone could make a career.

But when I think of Bill Withers, I’m always going to think of “Just the Two of Us”…his duet with the amazing saxophonist Grover Washington Jr.

If you love jazz and the saxophone, you can’t help but to love that tune as it has some of the best sax solos you will ever hear. Add to it Bill’s soulful voice and you had a guaranteed hit on an album that went platinum and that song winning a Grammy.

RIP Bill!
