Sometimes you have to find your amusement where you can, especially on a day that’s been slightly annoying and frustrating.
Who knew a credit union would be a place where one could find some measure of mirth?
I park up at the White Oak branch and I’m waiting for a vehicle that had already engaged reverse gear to vacate their space so that I can back into it from the handicapped spot I’d inadvertently pulled into and was trying to leave (I’ve got Alex’s placard but I’m vehemently opposed to “cheating” if he’s not with me thanks to a rehab nurse in the form of my dearly departed stepfather).
It takes them a distressingly long time to work out that they’re in gear and that moving would be a good idea but eventually it comes to them.
The only problem is that they backed out facing the wrong direction and then proceeded to drive past the north side of the building past a rather large and luridly red coloured sign that should have been a huge hint to them.
The arrows on the tarmac pointing at them rather than away from them was another clue for these clueless gits.
But…no. Blithely up the wrong side of the building they go and I can at least thank them for setting a pick to stop any driver unfortunate enough to encounter them from preventing me from quickly backing up into the recently vacated parking bay.
Let’s just say that the friendly people manning the reception desk and I had more than a bit of a laugh at their expense… 😉
