Centipede, pollen, and clouds, oh my!

This gallery started out as an exercise in playing around with the 105mm f/2.8 Micro-Nikkor lens (“micro” in Nikon-speak is actually “macro” for everyone else on the planet!). Between the centipede and the leaves on “Fortitude” (one of the two Japanese Maples out front named for the lions guarding the NY Public Library on 42nd and 5th), there was plenty of macro fun to be had!

The rest of the time was playing with the 300mm f/4 for the cloud and tree shots and finishing up with the 70-200mm f/2.8 VR (my personal favourite lens!) with the shots of the flames in the flame pit. Those are some of the most fun shots where you’ll get the entire range of colour of the flame from blue all the way out to yellow! 🙂
