Sadly, the GOP in Congress won’t dare draw up articles of impeachment against their creature in 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue even though he’s already hit several of the usual crimes associated with “high crimes and misdemeanors”: perjury of oath, dereliction of duty, abuse of authority, intimidation, and conduct unbecoming. And for my money you could throw in moral turpitude as well…
Mr President…even though your Vice President and others in the line of succession aren’t really much better than you are, the country and the world needs leadership that you have singularly been unable to provide. If you truly cared about what was best for this country as you constantly tell us that you do…you’d stand down as a matter of principle to mitigate further damage to our republic’s standing in the world. Anyone who exhibits the same sorts of misogyny / homophobia / xenophobia and stands with the KKK and white supremacists is not someone who is fit to hold the high office you do.
It’s time for you to shut the hell up and go back to Manhattan and let the adults actually provide some semblance of governance for our country.
Go back home and enjoy all of your riches because frankly that’s all you’re ever going to have and know. I’m sure you’ll find some sort of perverse happiness in such an empty and joyless existance.
For our part, we will do our level best to forget the nightmare of your Presidency once you are gone.
