You never know quite how the time that the players warm up for their beer league hockey game so imagine my surprise when I see the two referees for the night in a somewhat unusual place as I’m loading up the first tunes.
There was no way I wasn’t bagging those photos… 😉
I will say that Nicholas and Eli do make the job much easier when I’m handling all of tasks including keeping the statistics for the game.
I think I’ve finally gotten Nicholas convinced that signalling the numbers six through nine is much less ambiguous when the number of fingers above five are presented horizontally like they do from the deck of the crab boats on Deadliest Catch.
It’s especially helpful when we’re on the rink where there is no hole cut in the plexiglas of the scorer’s booth so make it easier to hear what the guys are saying… 🙂
