After writing about a somewhat harrowing bit of excitement when one of the RAID arrays decided to throw a drive, I reckoned that it was time to add another category for posts of a nerdy technical nature rather than clogging up “Doing the News!”:

This is where you can read the stories about the behind-the-scenes technology that permeates just about everything I do (after all, I *WAS* an IT weenie/database geek in a previous life)…if reading about nerdy technical stuff is something you’re really into, that is!
The category title comes from one of my favourite movies from the 1980’s where those of us who were called dorks, or geeks, or spazzes who ultimately went into IT suddenly became quite in demand in an increasingly technical world could dream of our revenge upon the beautiful but vacuous people who tormented us for so many years.
