Anyone who knows me knows that instrumental tracks are my favourite by far.
Don’t get me wrong, I can appreciate a clever turn of phrase in the lyrics but the one theme that binds every one of my favourite tracks together is that the underlying instrumental music has really got to wow me.
Some of the best instrumentals out there comes to us from the Alan Parsons Project and I’d challenge any passing fan of sport to try to convince me they’d never heard of the Project.
“Sirius” has been featured in more calls to attention for the lineups than I can possibly count, probably most famously used by the Chicago Bulls during the Michael Jordan era.
These three tracks may be among the lesser known Project tracks but I can assure you that they’re amongst the best of them!
”May Be A Price To Pay” was used by a local comics store in Orlando (“Enterprise 1701”) for years in their advertising.
