From the “Welcome to Hell, Yuletide edition!” Dept:
Tonight we have a marathon session of four back-to-back Ironclad games to finish the season. Trust me, you didn’t want to be playing in the last game of the evening…
Playlists from MCHL’s 11th Ironclad Season!

Well, if it's an angst-laden playlist the players get, there's no way I'm not going to drop a Taylor Swift track in amongst the songs and see if it gets noticed! :)
Tonight's pre-game tracks were partially inspired by a playlist being constructed for Martin Luther King Jr Day in the upcoming season of Ironclad...
Meditations on the life of a DJ with Donald Fagen's "The Nightfly" being the inspiration for the first game's playlist! :)
The one thing these tracks have in common? A fast-paced driving rhythm... :)
Winging it with a playlist can be kind of scary...but that's what makes it so much *FUN* especially when your audience is really enjoying the seemingly random tracks! :)
Sometimes the theme of the playlists is blindingly obvious. The inspiration for tonight's playlist proves that this is not one of those nights... ;)
MI5 has their hands full again with Communist spies but this time they're hailing from the People's Republic of China!
Tonight we honour the 29 brave men who perished on the SS Edmund Fitzgerald on 10 Nov 1975...
Way back in 1990 when WMMO 98.9 FM hit the airwaves, they had a policy that all tracks that were played would be identified by title and artist and to never talk over the music without exception. They also tended to stack adverts at well-known times when they weren't doing hour long advert-free music blocks. WFOX wholeheartedly agrees this is a fantastic idea... :)
Just because I have my hands on the virtual turntables doesn't mean that we are above giving the citizenry what they want. We're democratic. In some ways. :)
Some of the most fun I have whilst spinning the tunes for MCHL Ironclad is shamelessly abusing my authority over what gets played outside of the games. Take for instance the fun I had with the set for my brother Benjamin’s birthday… :)
The portable Bluetooth speaker is much louder than the rink speakers but a tiny little USB to 3.5mm adapter and a far better balanced sound is about a tonne less heavy and a much improved performance quality! :)
May Supertramp's Rick Davies rest in peace knowing that he gave so much beautiful music to the world and many hours of me trying to hit those high notes in "Goodbye Stranger"! :)
