Those little chicks are getting to be not so little and have spilled out of the nest to the bit of the pillar next to the nest. It almost reminds me of those old war movies set on a submarine where everyone is hot-bunking in the crew quarters and there is no space to be had!
Amazingly, Lady Robin was able to get everyone underneath her last night but how I have no idea because a) she’s not that big a bird and b) that’s not a really huge nest and most importantly, c) those chicks are getting HUGE.
I’m guessing it won’t be long before that nest is going to have a vacancy sign (though I’ll probably leave it for now in case the Lord and Lady want to drop another clutch of eggs which isn’t out of the realm of possibility).
BTW, I got the most frightful telling off for this set of pictures! But we will happily endure the avian abuse of epic proportions to bring you these adorable images of hope and life so that they may brighten your day at least a little bit! 🙂
