Nick finished up the required six hours of behind-the-wheel training clearing the way for him to seek his learner’s permit under graduated licencing.

Today’s session was very early this morning and apparently he did a bit more “drifting” today on the motorways than he had the previous two days.

Of course, the first image that popped into my head was him doing a fair heap of oversteer and letting the rear of the car slide sideways through the turn like he was taking the Hammerhead flat-out on Top Gear’s test track whilst his ride-along instructor was screaming in abject terror.

Fortunately, she mentioned that it was merely having a harder time staying betwixt the lines in the lane of travel which is something he can sort out with a bit of practice.

At least he didn’t do a Gambon (getting the “Reasonably Priced Car” onto two wheels) that ended up giving the last corner of the Top Gear track it’s name. That we know of, that is. 🙂
