It has finally happened!
My Notary Public journal finally has entry #1 in the book thanks to an acknowledgement for a power of attorney that has the first use of my notary seal that is now out in the wild, wild world!
There’s 611 more entries to go before it’s time to get another journal book so I think that will be a while yet but that won’t stop me from savouring notarial act #1 for a while!
Mind you, if there wasn’t that pesky prohibition against notaries notarising their own documents, today could have been a two-fer day of stamping and sealing but that required a quick trip to my credit union to take advantage of their notary on duty so that I can finally put the e-Notary application I’d inadvertently biffed in the post.
