Many of the themes have some meticulous planning…get the idea, grab the tracks, and have them collected in a playlist ready to go.

Tonight’s themes would be none of that! 🙂

I knew I wanted to riff on the complete insanity that was Game 2 of the Stanley Cup Final where the Canes come storming back midway through the 3rd period from a 2-nil deficit to win the game in overtime and send the series to Las Vegas level at one game apiece.

But I genuinely had no idea what I was going to play as I was setting up the iPad in the booth and hooking it up to the speaker system until I launched DJay and started perusing the “hype” playlist…

The break between games 1 and 2 was meant as a shout-out to Miss Kristina thinking she was going to be doing a bit of skating on the ice once the Zamboni had finished but she was apparently in the lobby shaking someone down who owed her a bit of coin.

That’s OK…she heard every last track and knew exactly what I was on about in spite of the fact that I’d never said one word about what I planned on doing to her ahead of time. 🙂
