This morning and afternoon was errands and driving all round the area so I didn’t have the usual amount of time to come up with the usual clever if not slightly obscure playlist for the night’s game.

Fortunately for me, one of my favourite albums ever by an artist I’ve tried to see live in concert three times only to have her cancel the shows due to illness or breaking her arm was released on 27 Jul 1981.

That album is “Bella Donna” by Stevie Nicks (with a fair heap of Fleetwood Mac artists in the credits) and it’s by far the most successful solo album by a member of Fleetwood Mac.

The happy bonus is a couple of friends she convinces to do some duets with her which really elevate those tracks from awesome to flat-out legendary! 🙂

Fortunately for me, this album’s A and B sides lines up nearly perfectly with the Zamboni and warm-ups where we only needed a short bit of a bonus track for Game 2… 🙂

As the area round us was dodging tornado warnings, nasty downpowers and power outages…we were happily banging pucks and bodies on the Forest rink.

But let’s just say that the choice of wrap-up track was a complete no-brainer… 🙂
