We love requests at WFOX and this one came my way after last week’s Friday night games from Miss Sarena’s father Michael Gisser who plays with the Gargoyles in the Ironclad’s Bendis division.

He let me know there were several concerts in Raleigh this weekend and that it’d be pretty cool if I could make a theme out of them.

Well, your wish is my command and with the following lineup rocking the City of Oaks this weekend…there was no way I wasn’t going to have some fun with this idea!

• Billy Idol
• Three Dog Night
• Squeeze

Unfortunately he’ll be traveling when this set gets played on the Wake rink tonight but at least he’ll be able to see what tracks made the cut thanks to our station’s policy of identifying all of the songs and their artists and albums during the themes!

If you’ve got a nifty idea like Michael did here, please let me know via the usual channels (which in this case included a conversation near the entrance of The Factory!) and you’ve got a better than average chance of your wish being granted if the universe doesn’t offer up a better idea for that particular date.

And even when the universe does insist on a different theme, you can rest assured that your idea will not go to waste because it’ll be noted so that we don’t have to open up the Mystery Crate during the Zamboni… 😉
