There have been many great music producers through the ages but the greatest producers of all time has to include Quincy Jones who was not only a musician and composer (“We Are The World” for “Live Aid 1985” was a Quincy Jones written tune!) but truly excelled as a producer.
His long and storied resume includes one of the most successful artist/producer collaborations ever over three albums that introduced Michael Jackson to the world as an adult superstar with Off The Wall, followed that up with the best-selling album of all time Thriller that took home a record eight Grammy Awards in 1984, and ended his run with Michael with Bad that made history with five consecutive singles that hit number one on the Billboard Hot 100.
So we celebrate the life of Quincy Jones who left us two years ago today with a sampling of tracks from a remarkable collaboration.
As producers go, he’s arguably one of the baddest cats to ever be at the helm in the studio booth!
