You never know what you’ll see when you’re in the yard picking up sticks after the recent high winds that accompanied an arctic blast of cold air. In this case, it was a red-shouldered hawk circling over the woods behind the house.

Luckily the 28-300mm lens was on the D7000 and I had about a second to focus and shoot on a very fast moving target. I’m pretty pleased with the result… 🙂
