We’re back to the Garner location to get some free Lord’s bird thanks to the Hurricanes winning one at home. Their form of late hasn’t been the greatest but hopefully they’ll leave their problems behind in the playoffs!
Today is getting a late lunch with Mistletoe on board and then we’re off to a pair of dog parks for a picnic and letting Mistletoe run round like mad.
We’re also throwing them a curve ball of our own…both Katie and I have mobile orders through the app. Two orders, one vehicle, will they be able to cope?
Are we going to luck out with a greeting winning streak?
- 1535 – Order placed via the mobile app.
- 1551 – As is usual at this location, I’m the second car in the street waiting to turn right into the conga line and there’s one poor soul waiting to turn left across the pattern. I have pity on them and let them in…
- 1554 – In the queue 10m from the order boards choke point behind an indecisive GMC SUV two cars ahead blocking both queues until they see one move in the inner queue.
- 1556 – Order taker breaks the winning streak with “hey” but manages to stick the second attempt.
- 1557 – Right at the order board, 2m to choke point.
- 1600 – Single file to the rear of the restaurant.
- 1601 – Window in sight 5m away.
- 1602 – Katie’s order is delivered first, mine soon after and we manage to bypass the two cars that were ahead of us in the queue. Two cars that did *NOT* include our indecisive and impatient SUV who got stuck behind a likely indecisive non-mobile order and ended up two cars behind me. Tee hee! 😉
Nine minutes…currently the best time at the Timber Drive store for me!
So how did it go?
- Initial greeting: Broke the the “no hey” winning streak at two but recovered the half point at the next attempt.
- Order correctness: spot on for the full point.
- Waffle fries: remember how the last fries were not quite the temperature of magma…these *WERE* the temperature of magma. Yay! Point to Gryffindor!
- Sandwich: full marks for the sandwich which is back to Garner’s usual standard, nice size and great coating.
Three and a half out of four for Garner this afternoon! 🙂
