Seeing supercars in Raleigh isn’t a terribly unusual occurrence.
But being done and dusted by two of them in the space of a half hour on either side of a run for groceries at Wegman’s certainly is!
The first one was out on Old Wake Forest Road where we caught up to a Lamborghini Huracan at the stoplight right before Capital Blvd passes over. We didn’t exactly have a lot of time to enjoy the view before that 5.2L V10 rear-mounted engine left us in the dust with that distinctively brutish Lambo growl that is so delightful to hear.
So imagine being surprised on the short bit of the I-87 motorway prior to the New Hope Road exit by a Ferrari California Type F149 in the most stunning blue colour I’ve ever seen on a car.
Sadly, we didn’t get too long to appreciate this beauty as the exit comes up very quickly after you’ve taken the fly-over bridge from I-440 but…wow! 🙂
