Even if you do your level best to avoid most of the news media and their constant offerings of how much of a joy current events…aren’t…there’s no denying the fact that it seems that Pandora’s jar has been working overtime on us.

War and strife are rampant in the world contributing to petrol prices nearly double what they were only two months ago which means everything else is far more expensive and the world economy is taking it not only on the chin but in the bum and frankly in that rather sensitive bit on the other side of the body from your sit upon.

It’s in these dire times where it’s pretty much misery all round unless you’re a millionaire or billionaire that you’ve got to hold on fast to the one thing that was remaining in her jar…hope that things can and usually do eventually get better even if it seems quite a distant prospect in a far-off future.

But we’ll eventually get there.

This playlist for tonight’s theme has it’s highs and lows but the thread that weaves these tracks together much like the one employed by Clotho (the spinner), Lachesis (the measurer), and Atropos (the one wielding the shears that would cut the person’s life thread) in the Greek mythology we’re playing with used in their loom…the thread that binds them all is the notion of holding on and enduring our travails long enough to see those better days down the road.

Of course, it doesn’t hurt that Pandora is also the brand name of a streaming music service so you’re welcome to take your pick which way you want to think on the night’s theme. 🙂
