For my sister’s birthday, we’re going a bit off-piste by featuring Lou Reed who was most famous for his time as a member of Velvet Underground which was managed by Andy Warhol (yeah, “that” Andy Warhol who created the famous Campbell’s soup can paintings).
He passed away on this date in 2013 at the age of 71.
Reed’s vocals aren’t necessarily the ones you’d imagine being suitable for warm-ups but these three live tracks really bring the driving rhythm the players tend to crave! 🙂

Post-Game
We finish the night with “Thunderstruck” which was the next track to be played when the final horn went and the track that Mikhail Baryshnikov scams Gregory Hines out of some rubles for pirouettes in “White Nights” which was a fictional take on Baryshnikov’s defection from the Soviet Union in 1974.
