From the “The Salesman Really Shouldn’t Ring Once!” Dept:

I don’t think it’s a state secret that I’m really not a fan of solicitors coming round and ringing the doorbell.

I can’t imagine how one could come to the contrary opinion when just recently I had the joy of dealing with a solicitor for Rectum cable who not only couldn’t take the hint the first time but then decided to come back two hours later and disturb me yet again.

He absolutely deserved me letting him have it with both barrels between the eyes!

Today’s member of the Nitwit Solicitor Corps Who Can’t Take A Bloody Hint clearly didn’t look down at the carpet in front of the door much less comprehend what it was trying to convey to help him make a good choice and just turn around and leave without disturbing the occupants of this house.

Mistletoe serenaded him for a couple of minutes before he trundled off on a Segway to victimise my neighbours with his presence.

I’ll admit, that’s a new one on me…never seen a door-to-door nitwit rolling round the neighbourhood on one of those.

But I saw something online that might have helped him to make that better choice of buggering off and leaving me in peace.

I’m pretty sure I could source a deactivated Claymore mine from my old haunts near Fort Bragg but I’m pretty sure I wouldn’t be allowed to get away with mounting it without attracting some sort of official notice if not the SWAT Team.

One could dare to dream because I’ve got to imagine that’d be the best deterrent against them ringing the doorbell ever devised and a hint they would likely not ignore… 😉
