From the “It’s A Chick Fil-Audit, Kind Of” Dept:

Julia was my co-pilot for this trip through the queues at White Oak for her free Lord’s Bird thanks to the Hurricanes taking a 2-nil lead in their series with the Boston Bruins.

I’ll have a more standard Chick Fil-Audit for later in the day but now it’s a quick trip to redeem her free sandwich and then get her back home so she can rest.

  • 1136 – Mobile order placed via the app for White Oak whilst in North Raleigh.
  • 1145 – Arrive the end of the conga line right after making the right turn from the entrance road towards the McDonalds entrance which have signs begging the Chick Fil-A queues to not block their entrances. Yeah, good luck…iHop in Knightdale feels your pain!
  • 1150 – About to make the turn into the queue proper in their car park.
  • 1153 – 18m from the order board choke point but making steady progress.
  • 1154 – Order taker uses that dreadful word “hey” but does nail the greeting on the second try.
  • 1155 – At the order board, the alternating car discipline seems to be holding.
  • 1156 – At the choke point.
  • 1158 – Make the final left turn, window in sight.
  • 1200 – At the window accepting delivery.

Fifteen minutes to make it through one of the longer queues this spring.

So how did White Oak do?

  • Initial greeting: got the “hey” I just *SO* love but the order taker did fix it nicely on the second try so she gets the half point back.
  • Order correctness: spot on for the full point.
  • Waffle fries: none ordered so can’t really factor this in the grade.
  • Sandwich: I’d imagine the sandwich was fine but can’t grade this either.

This quick run nets White Oak a score of 1.5 out of two possible points. No real complaints here other than the greeting for this abbreviated visit.
