I just got back home from a quick in-and-out to Florida and Orlando was its usual hot and humid self (which if you’ve ever lived there is about 11.5 months of the year!).

I hired a car from Hertz and the agent at the desk and the chap who was at the checkpoint at the exit of the car park offered free ice cold bottles of water. What an amazingly considerate and BRILLIANT thing to do! Even if they don’t do that at every station…bottled water compared to Chateau Ivanhoe’s H2O after the flight was a god-send!

Also have to give a shout out to Delta Airlines who made the trip to MCO and back exceptionally comfortable and enjoyable even for someone with my panoramic physique!

Bagged a new aircraft type on this trip (Boeing 717-200…the Boeing name for the McD MD-95 and the only Mad Dog variant I hadn’t ridden yet!) and the most surreal moment was driving round UCF and barely recognising the old buildings with all of the new ones that have grown up round them like weeds!
